The UK dieting industry is worth a staggering 6 billion pounds annually. And yet as a nation we don’t seem to be winning the battle with our waist- lines.

Diets continue to be very popular and yet all too often they let us down. Despite lots of evidence that they don’t generally work, we are drawn into the promises they make, but is it really you failing the diet, or is the diet failing you? Is it time for a rethink this year?

In this free session, we will explore:

  • The dieting cycle – why it happens and how to break free from it.
  • A different way to approach your weight management this year which takes care of your mental health and builds your confidence.
  • How to eat – what does the research (not the celebrities) actually tell us.

Cost: There will be a collection for Bath Mind who are a local charity supporting people to improve and maintain their mental health and wellbeing. As there are such strong links between dieting and poorer mental health, for example fat stigma, low confidence and self-esteem, it would be great to raise awareness of this and raise some money for this valuable organisation.
