About Laura Clark BSC RD PgCert

Thanks for being curious to find out more about me! This is the only place I’ll talk about me, because the people I’m helping are at the centre of everything I do. Studying nutrition and dietetics 20 something years ago allowed me to combine my passion for people, science and food. After many years in London, I am now based in Bath but I’m happy to go anywhere for work that a zoom link or train line will take me!

Over the years I have continued to build my knowledge and expertise in many areas of nutrition and health, including sport and exercise nutrition, behaviour change therapy, intuitive eating counselling and acceptance and commitment therapy. Our food relationships are complex and varied and the extent of my training, and ongoing professional development, reflects the commitment I have to working with unique individuals and tailoring my expertise accordingly. Dishing out advice alone doesn’t work. Everyone I work with feels the sense of a journey – towards better health, both physically and emotionally.

Since completing my degree at Surrey University in 2001 I’m proud to say I worked with over 12,000 patients during my 15 years in the NHS and health services abroad. From all walks of life and with different social, cultural, medical and nutritional needs they have given me such a fantastic foundation from which to expand my freelance consultancy.

Whether you and I are destined to work together on a one to one basis, or you’re exploring the possibilities of me bringing nutrition to life for your employees or food brand, I’ll be drawing on a wide range of clinical and professional skills. Nutrition will always be an emotive subject and one I am fortunate to have immersed myself in at a post graduate level for so long, whether that be behind a screen, a TV camera or a desk.

I believe in being pragmatic, holistic and truly tailored to the people and clients I’m working with. I’d love to chat, send me a message and let’s set up a virtual ‘coffee’ although I have to confess mine will always be a hot chocolate!
